Taking place from 24-31 August, the week leading up to the world famous Notting Hill Carnival, Caribbean Food Week encourages comsumers to sample the flavours of the Caribbean.

The Week will be supported by a national sampling campaign at locations across the UK, a wide-ranging social media campaign and instore promotions with POS materials available to retailers. Caribbean Food Week has seen great success since its launch in 2012. Last year, Caribbean Food Week saw the Caribbean food and drink category grow 5.9% to £94.2m and Grace Foods UK’s category share grow to a market leading 38%.*2

“Shoppers continue to demand new and exciting flavours and ingredients as they become ever more adventurous with their cooking,” says Ryan Mack, Managing Director of Grace Foods UK.

“Caribbean Food Week is the perfect platform for retailers to tap into this trend. Each year we see record levels of engagement with consumers seeking out new recipes to try at. We expect this year to be even better so retailers should stock up on leading Caribbean brands.”

A wide variety of recipes will be shared via Caribbean Food Week’s dedicated social media pages, featuring Grace Foods UK’s market leading ranges including the Grace, Dunn’s River, Encona Sauces, Nurishment, Brunswick, Excelsior and Bigga brands. These brands offer consumers a range of ready-to-use products and scratch cooking ingredients to make their Caribbean cooking simple and authentic.

Ryan Mack advises: “This summer’s activity will drive awareness of Caribbean dishes to an all-time high so retailers should stock up on the authentic, market-leading products to make the most of an incremental sales opportunity.”
