Funds set to fast-track position as the UK’s no. 1 gut heath snacking brand as founder of Graze further bolsters the team

Boundless Activated Snacking, the gut health brand for snacking, today announces a new £650,000 raise. The investment, which includes participation from a combination of EIS, investment groups, equity stake and angel investors, further signals gut health as a mainstream movement; the future of snacking and beyond. The funds are set to fast-track the brand’s mission to be the UK’s No. 1 gut health snacking brand, supporting the launch of new NPD, as the brand continues to innovate the category, taking the nation’s favourite snacks and adding a gut healthy twist.

Founded by Commodities Trader turned Entrepreneur Cathy Moseley, Boundless Activated Snacking is on a mission to make Activated Snacks that are genuinely good for the gut, bringing gut health to the masses. “The business was started in 2017 based on the nation’s gut health – or lack thereof! With 1 in 4 of us heading to the doctors with issues relating to digestive health, I wanted to try and help create a better understanding as to how everyone could improve their gut health & overall wellbeing in an affordable & accessible way. We make Activated Snacks that taste good & do good – we take 100% natural ingredients and make them even better, to leave you & your gut feeling good.

Almost 4 years on and we are growing as the nation’s Number 1 Gut Health Snacking Brand day by day – including an 18 month reign as Amazon’s Choice for Gut Health Snack. We are listed in majors such as Morrisons, high street stores such as Wholefoods and Holland & Barrett, boutique stores such as Selfridges and almost 2000 independents nationwide. Not to mention our success in exporting from Kuwait to Belgium to Germany & beyond!”

Closed this Month, this is the third investment round for Boundless Activated Snacking who will not only use the funds to support NPD, but also to continue to grow the overall brand awareness, working with their nutritionist to make sure gut health is the nation’s priority.

In a significant move, this month, Boundless is also strengthening the team further with the arrival of Ben Jones, as a new Director and Investor. Ben has founded, invested in, and managed some of the UKs fastest growing entrepreneurial businesses, most notably graze.com, tails.com and skinandme.com. He explains, “I believe a healthy gut equals a healthy mind and body and I’m excited to help Boundless in their next stage of growth”. As Cathy adds, “It’s just the beginning for Boundless, but to have a founder of such a well-known household snacking brand join the Boundless family shows exactly what we’re here to do & just how much we’re on to something.”

The investment news follows a strong start to 2022 for Boundless Activated Snacking, who have seen 400% turnover growth this year alone, thanks to the nation’s changing attitude towards health and digestive health in particular coming out of covid. The brand also secured a new Morrisons listing for their Activated Chips in June, straight off the back of a Holland and Barrett listing in March. Last month, the range also went live in WHSmith Travel as part of their meal deal.

A world first, the Activated Chips are made using sprouted sorghum which, thanks to the unique soaking of the ancient supergrain, enables a better uptake of the nutrients meaning it’s great for the gut. The brand also offers a range of all natural activated nut and seed mixes combining game-changing flavours with natural health benefits. The brand’s innovative F.A.B ™ method (Flood, Activate, Bake) used across the ranges mean their products are not only nutritious but are gut-friendly.
