Bart Spices, the ingredient specialist, is to launch a new selection of single estate chilli sauces in collaboration with Latin restaurant group Las Iguanas. The co-branded selection features Organic Hot Chilli Sauce, a vibrant red sauce made with Aji Limo chillies, and Organic Yellow Chilli Sauce, a hot and fruity variant made using the Aji Amarillo chilli variety. The new products are positioned as both a table sauce and a cooking ingredient for any meal that needs an injection of fiery chilli heat.
The launch is the first foray into the fast moving consumer goods sector for Las Iguanas, which operates 19 restaurants across the country. Bart Spices, however, is repeating a successful formula developed over the years with Indian restaurant Veeraswamy. The company also distributes a range of branded ingredients for Blue Elephant, the Royal Thai Cuisine restaurant group.
Both Bart Spices and Las Iguanas have their respective head offices in Bristol and share an obvious passion for food. This is the first time that they have formed such a strategic partnership.

The chilli sauce selection will be on offer to use and buy at each of the Las Iguanas restaurants while Bart Spices will use its food industry expertise to lever sales with fine food retailers across the country.
Each variant carries a recommended selling price of £2.49 for 150ml while a launch promotional gift pack of both sauces is priced at £4.00.
