Asda has unveiled the details of its popular Valentine’s Day meal deal for 2022, offering everything loved up shoppers need for a cosy night in for just £15. The deal runs from the 3rd February to the 14th, offering a range of high-end Extra Special products for a luxury date night at home.
Not only has Asda kept the price of its stunning meal deal at £15 this year, but the supermarket has gone one step further in offering couples the ultimate date night deal with a free Sky Movies voucher when shopping the meal deal*.
Included in the deal are a range of stunning Extra Special products, from succulent sirloin steaks and melt in the mouth lamb shanks to mouthwatering side dishes. Staying true to its status of Vegan Retailer of the Year in 2021, Asda has also included flavoursome vegan and meat-free options in its 2022 meal deal, such as Extra Special No Chicken Coq au Vin pies and Crabless Croquettes.
Bringing ultimate romance and elegance is the Extra Special French Neufchâtel Heart. Served in a heart-shaped ceramic dish and paired with a luxurious serving of mellow honey and black truffle glaze, French Neufchatel from Normandy is ideal for baking. The cheese has a smooth, intensely creamy texture and a rich tangy flavour, perfect for sharing with someone very special.
The story goes that the maids of Neufchâtel-en-Bray, in Normandy, France – most of whom were cheese makers – started to fall in love with the British soldiers during the hundred years war and as an expression of their love started to produce heart shaped, soft cheeses, which they would sometimes give as gifts to their sweethearts.
