Dear Customer
We know how much we all missed being able to spend time with our families and loved ones last year and that we all want to make this Christmas even more special.
Following reports that some popular products will be hard to find this Christmas, I want to let you know we’re working flat out to make it a Christmas to remember.
Helping you plan
I’m writing to let you know what we’re doing at Sainsbury’s to help you plan and manage your Christmas budget. I also want to reassure you that there will be plenty of food and that we are confident that even if the exact product you are looking for isn’t available, there will be a good alternative.
A full list of our Christmas product ranges and when they’ll be available is here. Stores will be getting regular deliveries right up until Christmas Eve and longer-life products such as Christmas cakes and puddings, mince pies, nuts and cranberry sauce are already available. We expect to sell more fresh turkeys this year than ever before and we’ll have plenty available, but if you can’t wait until they arrive on 19th December, frozen turkeys are already in store, as well as frozen party food. Fresh party food will arrive in stores from mid-November and from 1st December, shelves will be well stocked with all your favourite fresh festive products – from pigs in blankets to Christmas cheeses. We’ll also have lots of new delicious things for you to try this year – so look out for those too!
Lots of colleagues will be on hand to help you and we have more home grocery delivery slots and Click & Collect slots than ever. Christmas grocery home delivery slots will become available to Delivery Pass holders from 23rd November and to everyone from 30th November.
Christmas presents
If you want to get ahead on your Christmas gift list, the Argos Christmas Gift Guide is available in stores now and Sainsbury’s popular toy sale will be running in mid-November.
Boxing Day reminder
Finally, I want to remind you that we’ll be closing all of our supermarkets, convenience stores and petrol filling stations, as well as Argos and Habitat stores, this Boxing Day. Please try to pick up that extra pint of milk and any essentials you might need ahead of Christmas and we’ll be back open as usual on Monday 27th December. Thank you in advance for your understanding, which means our store colleagues will have an extra day off this Christmas.
I hope this helps you in planning for the festive season. All our colleagues and store teams are ready to do all we can to safely serve and help you in the weeks ahead. We know you have lots of choice for where you shop, so on behalf of everyone at Sainsbury’s, thank you for choosing to shop with us.
Simon
