Aldi is enhancing its support for those experiencing menopause with the introduction of training for managers.
The training will be facilitated by industry experts Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, and will cover an array of aspects, including raising awareness of the menopause and successfully supporting colleagues experiencing it.
Aldi’s managers will also learn about further adjustments that can be made to the workplace environment to make it more inclusive.
Last year, Aldi launched its menopause guides, which provided colleagues with access to support for a range of wellbeing needs, including menopause, and provided guidance for leaders to support their teams.
Aldi also signed the Wellbeing of Women Menopause Pledge and supported The Sun’s Menopause Matters campaign in 2021, both of which required businesses to take positive action to make sure everyone going through the menopause was supported.
Richard Shuttleworth, Diversity and Inclusion Director at Aldi UK, said: “Supporting our amazing colleagues is incredibly important to us, which is why we are providing training to help leaders further assist colleagues experiencing menopause.
“We are dedicated to making positive changes in the workplace, and know that this training is another step in the right direction.”
Sally Leech, Training Director, Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace said: “To really change the lived experience of those working through menopause, employers must put in place policies and strategies to educate, train and support all colleagues. We are delighted to be supporting Aldi in the important work they’re doing to support their colleagues.”
