UK based emerging banana brand BanaBay is set to go global with two well chosen appointments.

Ana Alvarez (left) joins as Senior Account Supervisor fulfilling a commercial and buying role, contributing to the development of a marketing strategy while ensuring the delivery of quality customer services.

With a background in business and project management Ana will also be making use of the skills she acquired providing Spanish lessons to businesses to liaise with the BanaBay plantation based in Ecuador.  As the company grows she hopes to expand her portfolio of responsibilities and go on to manage a BanaBay office abroad.

EmmaTomlinson (right) has been appointed PA to BanaBay’s MD Mark O’Sullivan and as an experienced retail and travel sales rep will be performing an all rounder role to best serve any customers needs encompassing accounts, purchasing, UK sales, marketing and HR.

Both new recruits are set to grow the BanaBay brand which is already being recognised within the industry thanks to strong links forged with large scale established wholesalers as well as a reputation for providing the best quality fresh produce and a firm grasp on processes at every stage of the supply chain.

BanaBay is one of Ecuador’s leading producers and distributors of high quality fresh bananas, with 30 years experience and 400 hectares of environmentally responsible and ethically operated banana plantations.

Logistic Partners Ltd, experienced logistics and supply chain consultants, are in partnership with BanaBay, handling import of produce from Ecuador into UK and Europe. Logistic Partners is responsible for overseeing the banana ripening process and managing specialist storage and distribution, as well as managing customer relationships in the UK.

BanaBay is accredited by Global G.A.P. , a private sector body that sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products worldwide.
