Pudsey packs hit shelves nationwide as Ben’s Original donates £200,000

Ben’s Original today announces a renewed partnership with BBC Children in Need. For the second year running, the brand is donating £200,000 to the charity, to support BBC Children in Need to help make a difference to the lives of children and young people across the UK, including helping tackle issues such as food insecurity and poverty.

To mark the partnership, Ben’s Original will be prominent across major UK retailers over the coming weeks, with special edition Pudsey packs of its Golden Vegetable, Egg Fried, Long Grain, Basmati, Savoury Chicken, Spicy Mexican and Mexican rice range.

As part of the ongoing partnership, Ben’s Original will unveil further activity under its new platform for BBC Children in Need, “Do Something Great With Every Plate”, as they turn the humble dinner plate into a powerful canvas in a campaign designed to raise awareness for the 2 million children in the UK facing food insecurity*.

Lucile Deschamps, Senior Marketing Director Europe, Mars Food & Nutrition comments: “At Ben’s Original, we are committed to making food tasty, accessible and healthy. With millions of families impacted by food insecurity, our partnership with BBC Children in Need has never felt more important.”

“Our donation of £200,000 this year takes our total fundraising for BBC Children in Need to over £400,000 and we are grateful to our retail partners for helping us drive awareness nationwide through our special edition Pudsey packs, as we encourage the nation to Do Something Great With Every Plate.”

Ben’s Original employees are also taking part in a range of fundraising and volunteering initiatives throughout the year in support of the partnership, such as tidy-ups at Footprints Conductive Education Centre and a spot in the TCS London Marathon.

Special edition Pudsey packs are available at participating retailers nationwide starting this week, while stocks last.
