Zeller Plastik UK has launched a new lightweight hinged flip-top dispensing closure with a specially designed silicone valve to suit condiment products with vegetable particles.
Available with a plain top as a standard product for the food market, the new 38-400 polypropylene closure has the dual advantage of being 20% lighter than Zeller’s original version as well as providing an increased flow rate of 125% due to the extended length three-slit design of the valve to efficiently dispense vegetable sauces with particles of up to 4mm. The closure provides the desired performance for Heinz Condiment Sauces, four new varieties of which were launched in March to add to the eight existing varieties in the range. The sauces are packaged in 220ml squeezable PET containers for distribution with the new Zeller Plastik UK closure to Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, The Netherlands and Scandinavia.
Tamper evidence for PET or PP multilayer bottles is available with either Lift ‘n’ Peel or peelable induction heat seal liners.
