Werther’s Original is returning to screens this September with a NEW TV ad, as part of its £3m 2020 campaign to attract a whole new generation of shoppers. The total confectionery category is in growth, and while Werther’s Original is the number one brand within the caramels segment1, the advert will help drive consumer awareness throughout autumn, whilst appealing to a younger audience. The TV ad features the tagline, ‘What’s your little piece of warmth?’ – showcasing the versatility of Werther’s Original.

The advert looks to celebrate the versatility of the Werther’s range – which offers something for everyone, for every occasion. The advert demonstrates this by showing three separate scenes of people of all ages enjoying the Werther’s warmth in different situations – from relaxing on the train, to the comfort of a campervan sat under the stars, to walking the dog in the park. Werther’s Original can bring warmth to your day, wherever and whenever you wish to enjoy it.
The advert runs from the 7th September until the 8th November, an ideal time as people settle back into their routines and look for moments of comfort in their everyday lives. Last year, Werther’s Original TV generated an uplift in sales of +26% on average, and this latest TV campaign is set to continue this trend.
The advert will focus on the Werther’s Original favourites: the classic Butter Candies (135g), unique Creamy Filling (125g) and the delicious Creamy Toffee (135g) bags. It will run across prime-time TV Programmes, as well as featuring in cinemas throughout October.
