Vimto, the Newton-Le-Willows based soft-drinks brand, is offering consumers the opportunity to star in its unique summer TV ad and social media campaign.
Vimto is calling for fans of all ages, from all walks of life to take part in an open casting session, taking place at a central Manchester location this May.
Those chosen to participate in the TV ad will also win a full year’s supply of Vimto.
The TV advert, which is launching in May, is part of a new secret £3 million advertising campaign set to run throughout the summer. Retailers can capitalise on the new advertising campaign by stocking Vimto’s most popular SKUs, including its RTDs – Vimto NAS and Vimto Remix, which are currently outperforming the market by +8%.
Marketing Director of Vimto, Emma Hunt, commented: “We’ve have a strong history in the North which we’ve built up over the past 110 years and as such, developed an amazingly loyal fan-base. We therefore want to reward this loyalty and thank consumers of the brand for being so supportive, by championing them in this ad, which is set to be one of the most of unique campaigns we’ve done to date.”
Commenting on who would make the cut, Emma added: “Anyone and everyone is welcome to take part, but we’re on the lookout for individuals with a cheeky sparkle.”
Potential TV ad stars will meet the crew behind the TV ad and the brand itself and will be asked to do a short piece-to-camera, for a chance to feature.
