Vimto, the refreshingly different soft drinks brand, is fizzing up its popular Vimto Remix range with a new Raspberry, Orange and Passionfruit carbonated variant which will be available from March.

The new launch is sure to give soft drinks sales a refreshing boost with the flavoured carbonates category currently growing at 11.1% and Vimto’s carbonates range outperforming the market at 16.5%[1].

The product has been introduced following the phenomenal success of Vimto Remix, which mixed up both the category and consumers’ taste buds when it launched in 2016. The sub-brand also consists of two other popular flavours: the original Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple and Watermelon, Strawberry & Peach, introduced in 2018. Vimto Remix is now worth an impressive £9m, having grown +44% in the last 12 months – growth which has been boosted by extensions to the range[2].

All Vimto Remix drinks contain No Added Sugar and have been some of the most successful NPD from Vimto, driving incremental sales to the much loved core brand. The entire Vimto brand is now worth a record high of £87m[3].

Emma Hunt, Marketing Director, says: “Consumers are increasingly looking for new experiences. As a result, demand for adventurous drinks with exotic flavours combined are continuing to grow, with Vimto Remix satisfying that thirst in a healthier way.

“We’ve seen Raspberry, Orange and Passionfruit still and dilute fly off shelf and deliver impressive growth of 33%, so it was right to extend the range[4]. The new carbonated variant will be available in 500ml and 2L pack sizes and in both plain and PMP packs to give consumers and retailers the choice they desire.

“We’ve seen how important PMPs are in building trust between retailers and their shoppers, and ultimately in driving sales. We’re confident this new launch will help contribute further growth to the category.”
