RL Brooks is an independent electrical retailer based in Whitehaven, Cumbria. The outlet sells a variety of electrical goods; specialises in television sets.
The Brief
RL Brooks was aware of Replan due to the shopfitting specialist’s relationship with the Euronics electricals chain. When RL Brooks felt that the outlet needed a refresh the company initially contacted a different shopfitter. In the meantime a trade press advertisement jogged owner, David Coyles’ memory and he also called Replan.
The initial idea was just to tidy up the store as over the years small displays had been updated making the overall effect quite disjointed and patchy.
The Design
Replan advised that the store was taken back to scratch and developed an entire new design for the store. Their creative input teamed with cost effective service meant that the project was feasible. The idea was to create a modern and sleek store with fittings and lighting to best display the products.
The Result
The store was stripped down to the shell and Replan completed the fit out over a four day period. RL Brooks reopened the day after the refit with a totally transformed environment giving an enhanced customer experience and giving staff additional motivation.
Less than a month on the benefits are clear to owner, David: “All our screens are now well presented and can be grouped according to size or brand. Trade is definitely up.
“During our planning process Replan listened to what was required and did not come along with a one size fits all plan, what we ended up with was a bespoke design that fits the way we work. The fit out went exactly to plan. We were trading again the day after completion. I would definitely work with Replan again on future projects and gladly recommend them to anyone.”
