Cadbury has announced the arrival of a top-selling Wispa Gold chocolate bar in the popular Duos format. Cadbury Wispa Gold Duo will hit shelves from August, helping retailers to drive sales.

The Wispa platform is the third biggest within the iconic Cadbury range[i] after Cadbury Dairy Milk and Cadbury Twirl. Wispa Gold is growing at 4%[ii] – highlighting just how popular this variant is with shoppers. It’s no surprise that caramel is the #4[iii] trending flavour within chocolate confectionery, meaning this new format is set to be a hit with confectionery shoppers.

Radhika Pai, brand manager at Mondelēz International, explained, “Wispa is such a popular range with shoppers already – the numbers speak for themselves! With both Wispa Gold in growth and Wispa Duos growing ahead of the category at 13%[iv], it’s an obvious choice for us to bring the two together in Cadbury Wispa Gold Duo, the perfect product to be shared amongst loved ones. Additionally, the new format of a much-loved bar particularly meets shopper needs for the food-to-go mission.

“Confectionery is one of biggest food and drink categories in convenience and is the most impulsive[v], so it’s a crucial part of any store. Wispa Gold Duo will be available for retailers to buy from August, at an RRP* of 85p in line with the rest of the Cadbury Duos range.
