The Spice Tailor is expanding its East Asian meal kits range with the addition of four delicious new flavours: Japanese Teriyaki, Japanese Katsu Curry, Korean BBQ and Vietnamese Curry. The new flavours tap into the growing popularity of East Asian cuisine and are set to excite both existing and new shoppers, driving incremental sales to the category.
The new additions come as the East Asian Cooking Sauces, Kits and Accompaniments category is growing faster than Italian, Indian, Mexican and Chinese over the past 12 months[1]. When it comes to Vietnamese flavours, there’s a significant opportunity to expand at-home cooking options[2]. With its new meal kits inspired by the vibrant cuisines of East Asia, The Spice Tailor is well-positioned to offer consumers great tasting options to explore and enjoy these flavour profiles in an easy to prepare format.
Andrey Sokirkin, Global Marketing Director of Cooking Sauces at Premier Foods commented, “Our latest meal kits from The Spice Tailor bring the rich, bold flavours of East Asia straight to shoppers’ kitchens. Catering to the growing demand for East Asian flavour profiles, the kits are available in The Spice Tailor’s signature format. Made with quality ingredients and whole spices, these kits will help shoppers create restaurant quality meals at home in three simple steps.”
The four new meal kit flavours are now available in selected Waitrose stores, subject to availability with an MSRP of £3.75*.
