Kids fruit snacking brand, The Fruit Factory, is set to launch a brand-new addition to its product range. Adding fun and interactivity to the category, the brand will be introducing Fruit Twists – a playable mixed fruit flavoured snack made with real fruit juice, catering to busy parents who need convenience and kids who want fun tasty snacks. The Fruit Factory’s Fruit Twists will be available from August 2022 at Morrisons and Tesco nationwide in multipacks (5 x 18g packs), RRP £2.
The lunch box friendly snack, that contains 67 calories per pack, comes to market following the brand’s recent success of becoming the number one growing brand in kids fruit snacking, showing strong double digit growth YoY +18.8%, ahead of the market growth of +12.1% and +27% frequency growth year on year[1].
Tara Stevens, Brand Manager, The Fruit Factory said: “As the brand continues to grow, we wanted to add innovation to the current range by tapping into playability and flavour. Research shows that strings and peelers are the largest percentage spend for formats across our target audience and the new Fruit Twists allow consumers to twist, peel and chew as well as showcasing multiple flavours.
Stevens continues: “With the popularity of mixed fruit flavours growing in the kids’ fruit snacking category by +34% vs single flavours at +13.2%[2], we wanted to make sure that we were playing on this growing trend and giving consumers a different offering to what we already have on shelves as part of our existing range.”
The new Fruit Twists contain no artificial colours or flavours and are made with real fruit in four flavours: apple, blackcurrant, strawberry and orange. Each pack contains five portioned packs with 2 x 9g Fruit Twists inside each individual pack.
