Thatchers Cider is to launch its first TV campaign for its flagship brand Thatchers Gold. Beginning in May 2010, the campaign will run on ITV1 West and ITV1 Central South for five weeks, and again in July, during prime time programming such as Coronation Street.
The TV campaign will be supported by trade press and 48 sheet outdoor posters.
With the theme People Who Care About Cider, the campaign will focus on the heritage and expertise of Thatchers who have been crafting cider from their Somerset mill since 1904.
Managing director Martin Thatcher says, “This is an exciting move for us to be bringing Thatchers Gold onto TV for the first time.
“Through this campaign we are looking to focus on the values that make Thatchers unique – family, heritage, history and expertise. With our Somerset roots and a passion for quality this campaign will reach over 75% of our target audience throughout the South West.”
The 30 second TV ad will be supported by 48 sheet outdoor posters on high profile sites across the South West, running in two bursts, in May and June, and then again in July and August.
Martin continues, “Thatchers Gold has been steadily increasing its share of the market and we feel this is the right time to be driving high brand awareness in our heartland and surrounding areas.”
