Thatchers Cider is delighted to announce it has signed a three-year agreement with Bath Rugby as the Club’s Official Cider Partner.

The deal will see the Thatchers Cider logo on the Bath team jerseys and branding at the Recreation Ground including the re-naming of the north stand as the Thatchers Stand. In addition, Thatchers will have the exclusive cider pouring rights for its sought-after range of traditional Somerset ciders at the ground.

Thatchers is also sponsoring Rugby Mondays – the Club’s Monday night matches featuring the Club’s second team, Bath United. Managing director Martin Thatcher is delighted with the sponsorship, the company’s first with a premiership rugby club. “This is great news for Thatchers. Bath Rugby’s emphasis on quality and family values are attributes which we both share so it’s a natural partnership. We are looking forward to developing the relationship, and exploring new opportunities where we can involve our customers, consumers and our local communities.

“As we enter the new season it’s a very exciting time for Bath Rugby and we are delighted to start this new association with the Club.”

Nick Blofeld, Chief Executive of Bath Rugby says, “We are thrilled to be entering into this partnership with Thatchers. They are a family run business based here in the South West, which is very important to us as a Club, and share many of our values and aspirations for the future. They have been great supporters of the Club in the past, and we look forward to working with them and developing a long and lasting partnership.”

Thatchers will be bringing a full range of traditional Somerset ciders to the Recreation Ground, including Thatchers Gold, Thatchers Heritage and Old Rascal, with sampling and special events on match days, including a dedicated real ale and cider bar run in conjunction with Bath Rugby’s Official Beer Partner, Wadworth of Devizes.
