Five percent of sales from F&F Pride range will be donated to charity Switchboard to support its vital work.
To mark this year’s Pride festival and support the LGBTQ+ community, Tesco will donate £100K to LGBTQ+ charities Notaphase, Give Out and Just like Us, in addition to donating 5% of sales from its F&F Pride range to Switchboard, the national LGBTQIA+ support line.
2024 will see Tesco supporting 20 Pride events up and down the country, including London and Brighton, as well as Black and Bi Pride. Tesco are the gold sponsors of London again this year and are Premium Partners of Brighton Pride.
The supermarket is a longstanding supporter of Pride and the LGBTQ+ community, and in recent years has donated over £800K to charities supporting the LGBTQ+ community, including Switchboard, Fighting with Pride and Bi Pride UK.
As a business, Tesco is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates the diversity of its colleagues and customers, working with its award-winning LGBTQ+ at Tesco network to support colleagues to be themselves. Tesco PR Executive and Pride lead in the Customer team, Ben Kearney, was nominated as a Top 12 Future Leaders in this year’s British LGBT Awards.
Tesco is a member of the Stonewall Global Diversity Champions Programme and has have been recognised as one of Stonewall’s Top 100 Employers, achieving gold status and rising up the ranks to 15th in 2023. Tesco has also been nominated as Inclusive Company in this year’s LGBT Awards.
