• New on-pack promotion giving shoppers the chance to win ‘chill time’ prizes including a room makeover, home cinema system and tablets
  • Multi-million-pound marketing support to build on Sprite’s success as the no.1 flavoured sparkling soft drink brand in the world[1].

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has announced a new on-pack promotion for Sprite, tapping into young adults’ enjoyment of and need for chill time, to recruit a new generation of consumers.

Under the strapline, ‘Chilling time is not a waste of time’, the promotion will run across the Sprite range, including the popular and growing Sprite No Sugar[2] – the on-pack promotion is included on 330ml, 500ml, 2L and 8x330ml pack formats.

Chilling time is not a waste of time

From 2nd May until 12th June, those enjoying much needed chill time can scan QR codes on promotional packs of Sprite that take them to the Coke app.

In the app, consumers can enter the unique pin code under the cap of promotional PET bottles or ring pulls of cans and play the Chill Time game. By collecting as many gems as they can, consumers can choose to either enter the instant win prize draw for high volume prizes or enter the raffle prize draw for a chance to win the highest value prizes.

Prizes include £1,500 towards a whole room makeover to create the ultimate chill out zone, smartphones, home cinema system, tablets and more, designed for those who take their chill time seriously.

Marketing support

The on-pack promotion will be supported by a consumer marketing campaign to remind people that ‘Chillin is Winnin’, and includes paid social media, out-of-home advertising, in-store activation and digital advertising.

Martin Attock, Vice President of Commercial Development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB, said: “Young adults typically spend more than 13 hours per day on screens[3], with screentime playing a key role in their chill time at home. By tapping into the mindset of our target audience, we are confident that this promotion and campaign will increase the appeal of the Sprite brand – worth nearly £50m in retail[4] – and drive sales for our customers this summer and beyond.”

Sprite 500ml clear plastic bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic (excluding caps and labels), are 100% recyclable and moved from green to clear plastic in 2019, making them easier to recycle into new bottles.
