Diet Coke has announced that from early July, shoppers can pick up a personalised can or bottle, to truly enjoy their Diet Coke break, their way.
A selection of over 150 personalised Diet Coke cans and bottles will be available from July to September – and for shoppers’ whose name isn’t already on one, there are 4,000 bespoke personalised cans up for grabs via the Coca-Cola app (accessible via a QR code on pack).
Everyone who enters for the chance to win a bespoke can will also automatically go into a weekly draw for even bigger prizes, including hotel, spa and shopping experiences worth up to £5,000.
To celebrate the release of the personalised cans, Diet Coke is going on the road throughout July and August, with The Diet Coke Break, By You airstream trailer experience – complete with relaxation zone, sampling and exclusive manicure appointments. The experience will be popping up in both central London and Manchester locations and is bookable on the Coca-Cola App.
Louise Maugest, Senior Marketing Director for Diet Coke, said: “We know how much our fans love a Diet Coke break – taking time for themselves in the midst of their busy lives – so, it made perfect sense for us to make that time even more special. We’re so excited to be bringing personalised cans to our fans this summer and we’d love to hear from them when they spot theirs in store – @DietCokeGB.”
Rob Yeomans, Vice-President of Commercial Development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB, manufacturer and supplier of Diet Coke, said: “As the no.1 zero sugar cola brand in GB[1], we know that Diet Coke has millions of incredibly loyal fans, making it core to our customers’ soft drink ranges. In fact, 32% of Diet Coke drinkers are brand exclusive and would drop out of cola if Diet Coke wasn’t available[2]. That’s why our fans are front and centre of our brand activity, offering something personalised which will also help drive sales for our customers.”
The announcement follows the launch of the new brand campaign, Love What You Love, By You, released earlier this year, which celebrates consumers love of their iconic ‘Diet Coke’ breaks.
