Sharp has launched the UP-V5500 Point of Sale terminal, delivering excellent performance at an attractive and affordable price point.
In answer to market demand, the UPV5500 brings a 15” screen to the already hugely popular Sharp touch screen model design, so well loved by customers in recent years. Powered by the reliable and easy-to-use Sharp POS software*, the UP-V5500 features a fanless construction in which moving parts are minimised, allowing for complete peace of mind.

Featuring Microsoft’s POSReady 2009 operating system pre-installed, and an efficient Intel Atom processor, this Point of Sale terminal is an excellent all-round performer flexible enough for a wide range of hospitality environments.
To allow for easy system expansion in the future, the UPV5500 provides numerous interface ports via USB, Serial, Parallel, or through a LAN connection, facilitating the use of various peripheral devices, such as receipt- or kitchen-printers, Chip & PIN terminals and barcode scanners. A disaster recovery solution is also supplied, using the installed Drive Clone software.
