Term time is set to take on a tasty new dimension for university students thanks to Rustlers ‘Give Cooking The Finger!’ campaign.

The move by the UK’s number one hot snacking brand coincides with Freshers Weeks and gives thousands of students the chance to win a free term’s supply of Rustlers.

In a highly targeted campaign, working with selected stores close to universities, Kepak Convenience Foods will be offering eye-catching Rustlers POS, in-store prize draw forms and money off product vouchers, helping retailers to grow their hot snacking sales.

“Cooking doesn’t come naturally to many students, especially young lads living away from home for the first time. Rustlers is the perfect solution for them as it’s quick to cook and really tasty. All they need is a microwave,” says John Armstrong, Kepak Convenience Foods’ Marketing Director.

In addition to the in-store activity, BOGOF Rustlers vouchers will be placed in university freshers packs throughout the UK.

Give Cooking The Finger builds on Rustlers’ popular One Finger Food TV commercial in which a finger detaches itself from a young lad playing on a games console. The finger makes its own way to a microwave in the kitchen to cook a Rustlers burger, enabling him to continue playing without interruption.

Kepak Convenience Foods urges retailers to stock up on Rustlers to ensure their shoppers aren’t left disappointed.
