With more and more people putting off overseas holidays this year and the summer being a peak time for carpet cleaning, Rug Doctor will be capitalising on the business opportunity this presents with a heavyweight TV campaign to drive new rentals through their stockists.
Almost a third of annual rentals of Rug Doctor’s carpet cleaning machines occur during the summer months and 2011 could see an even higher level of rental activity with more and more families staying at home to save the pennies. Summer is also traditionally a good time for cleaning, as carpet drying times are greatly reduced.
To take advantage of this new ‘holiday at home’ phenonomen, Rug Doctor will run a heavyweight TV campaign during June and July this year on ITV3 Daytime. This will build on their successful TV campaigns that ran over last winter and during spring this year.
“As the second biggest non-terrestrial station with a target audience of 35 plus year olds, this ITV3 campaign should deliver us nearly 30million impacts across this important peak period,” commented Paul Fildes, Marketing Manager. “It is also the second most popular station with women and the second most popular with ABC1 adults. This campaign will target a major part of our market perfectly”.
Stockist are being encouraged to stock up with Rug Doctor carpet detergents and cleaning solutions to meet the expected summer increase in rental activity.
