GT – What’s the most exciting thing about your job?
Creating new and exciting products to help the growth of our Clipper range. We recently launched a brand new collection of Rolling papers and accessories which we see as a natural progression of the Clipper family. With our lighters having a unique packing tool for loose tobacco, Clipper remains the UK’s no.1 choice for RYO smokers.
GT – Who’s inspired you most in your career?
I don’t think there is one thing that sticks out for me as the influencing factor, but I was always creative growing up and I’m not a numbers person! My mum has always been a strong role model for me so I always knew I wanted to carve a good career for myself and be independent.
GT – If you were an item in a supermarket, what would you be?
Obviously I’d be a Clipper because I light up people’s lives!
GT – If you had to do it all over again, what would you do different?
Well I am a serial hummer and I always wanted to be a singer in a band! A childhood dream that, sadly for me and the rest of the world, never materialised.
GT – What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you at work?
I learnt a few Spanish phrases for my first trip to Barcelona when I was 23, and let’s just say they didn’t translate exactly as I thought!
GT – Who or what makes you laugh?
Classic British comedy and other people’s extravagant laughs get me going. The Office, Alan Partridge and Black Adder are among my favourites. Ricky Gervais’ laugh never fails to make me smile.
GT – Do you have any hidden talents?
I can still do the splits at 30!
GT – Who would be your favourite party guest?
Tom Hardy. Does there need to be a reason?!
GT – What is the greatest luxury in your life?
Owning my own flat. Having my own space and achieving one of my goals makes it priceless.
GT – What is your favourite guilty pleasure?
It has to be catching up on my weekly dose of reality TV.
GT – Do you have any secret ambitions?
I would like to spend some time travelling to broaden my mind.
GT – What’s your dream holiday destination?
Anywhere with a cocktail bar and a white sandy beach!
GT – What are your three favourite movies of all time?
Walk the Line, Forrest Gump and The Shawshank Redemption.
GT – What is your favourite book of all time?
I recently read Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman it was very funny, a good mix of fantasy and reality.
GT – What’s your favourite pastime?
It sounds cliché but I love spending time with family and friends. They are what make down time enjoyable.
GT – If you won the Lottery, what would you do?
Take all my loved ones on holiday and have a massive party! Then buy my granny a house so she can be nearer to us.
GT – What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into this industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?
Make sure it’s what you love doing. I think Steve Jobs says it best – “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
