Shoppers won’t believe that Quorn’s NEW Chicken Fillet Pieces aren’t real chicken, with their succulent texture and meaty chicken-like flavour.
Quorn, the UK’s No. 1 meat free brand[1], is making swapping to meat free even more delicious with the relaunch of its vegetarian Quorn Fillet Pieces.
The Quorn Fillet Pieces (175g, RRP £2.50) will be available across major multiples from January with a new and improved taste, shape and texture that sensory research[2] has highlighted is even closer to chicken.
73% of consumers preferred the new product.
Over two thirds of consumers said the firmness was just right.
70% said it’s a great tasting product.
Gill Riley, Consumer Director at Quorn Foods UK, said: “We know that a barrier for people considering meat free can be the idea it won’t be the same as the meat dishes they’re used to. We continue to challenge this perception with all product launches and our new Quorn Fillet Pieces are the latest step. In research, the majority of our consumers were blown away by the texture of this product, saying it is meat like and tastes great. We’re giving flexitarians and meat reducers an easy swap with absolutely no compromise.”
88% of consumers[3] said that they believe the new Quorn Fillet Pieces are a versatile product that “I can eat with many other things’’, making them the perfect swap for chicken in every dish. Whether it’s a curry, stew, pasta, stir fry or more, the new Quorn Fillet Pieces make choosing a healthier, more sustainable meal even easier.
Gill concludes: “Recruitment into the category through a brand that consumers know and trust is key, now more than ever. There’s still plenty of room for growth in chilled meat free and particularly midweek meal solutions. As the category leader, we are focused on helping retailers tap into this growth with trusted, tasty and affordable products that will get more shoppers choosing meat free more often.”
Quorn Fillet Pieces are made with Quorn’s super protein, mycoprotein, making them high in protein and fibre, low in saturated fat and a better choice for your health and the health of the planet.
