The Quality Food & Drink Awards (QFDAs), operated by Metropolis International Group Ltd, has officially opened entries for 2026, unveiling a refreshed new look and a future-focused direction for the UK’s longest-running food awards programme.

Now in its 48th year, the Quality Food & Drink Awards continue to set the benchmark for excellence across retail and foodservice, recognising the products, brands, retailers and suppliers shaping how the UK eats and drinks. 2026 sees a reimagined identity alongside an expanded category focus and judging process built around quality, innovation and real-world retail performance.

For 2026, the awards have been refreshed and reimagined to reflect a modern, fast-moving marketplace. From everyday grocery staples to festive favourites, foodservice innovation, health-led products and now world-class drinks, this year’s categories have been designed to better represent the breadth and ambition of the UK food and drink industry.

The new look marks more than a visual refresh. It signals a renewed focus on the products and businesses responding to today’s consumer expectations, with 60% of customers agreeing that the new Q logo on a food product signifies product trust[i].

Key dates for the 2026 awards are:

  • Entries close: Friday 29 May
  • Finalists revealed: Wednesday 26 August
  • Awards evening: Tuesday 10 November

Atma Hyett, Brand Director, Quality Food & Drink Awards comments: “Our refreshed look for 2026 is designed to inspire confidence, ambition and pride across the industry, reflecting the energy and innovation shaping food and drink today.
