Cardpoint Technical Services, the engineering arm of leading independent ATM operator Cashzone, has successfully completed the move of its ATM parts, ATM refurbishment and warehousing operations into an industry leading technical centre in the North East.
The decision to manage these essential services in-house means that installation faults have been reduced by over 50%, compared with the previous best external service. The move also means ATMs are installed, operational and generating income at the earliest opportunity, ensuring that Cashzone customers can maximise the earning potential from each ATM.
Cashzone’s unrivalled customer service has been further enhanced by the move, with the 5,000 square foot centre now dedicated to storing and refurbishing ATM parts. Working closely with selected delivery partners Cashzone dispatches parts to its engineers within 24 hours of ordering, providing an even faster response to clients. Cashzone’s focus is on quality; employing highly skilled bench engineers to carry out repairs increases the reliability of Cashzone ATMs.
Shaun Harris, Head of Cardpoint Technical Services, said of the new operation, “We are delighted to be able to further improve the service that our customers receive. Since the centre opened, we have seen an immediate improvement in all of the already high quality KPI’s that we track.”
Rikki Dinsmore, Managing Director of Cashzone, added, “After an extensive tender process we were convinced that our own technical centre would offer the most cost and operational benefits to our customers. The opening month has shown this to be true. We’re proud to have some of the best technical specialists in the UK working at the centre, committed to improving and raising standards. The centre is process driven with a strong quality culture; we look forward to welcoming our customers to the centre to see the improvements in service first hand.”
