Following the launch of a peanut butter variant, Quaker Oats is now releasing a Strawberries & Cream flavour to its popular Protein range. The new flavour will be available in sachets and pots from 24th June, with Quaker Protein Peanut Butter also launching in a new pot format.
Divesh Parmar, Quaker UK General Manager at PepsiCo, comments, “Demand for hot protein cereals shows no signs of slowing down, growing by over 20% in the last 12 months[1]. While consumers are recognising the importance protein breakfast items play in supporting their overall wellbeing, we also know that younger shoppers are looking for different flavours and in particular more dessert flavours to enjoy.”
He continues, “As the number one brand within Hot Cereals[2], we’re in a strong position to add more excitement to the segment. Our new Protein Strawberries & Cream flavour offers shoppers a unique flavour which will help to attract younger consumers to the market.”
Quaker Protein Strawberries & Cream joins the existing Original, Golden Syrup and Peanut Butter flavours in the range and will be available in Morrisons from 24th June before rolling out widely available in the grocery and convenience channels from July. The new flavour will be available in sachets (8x per carton) with an RRP of £3.50 per carton, as well as in pots with an RRP of £1.30 per pot. The launch will be supported with a wider marketing campaign, including online media, in-store shopper support and sampling in September.
*The range consists of Quaker Protein Original, Quaker Protein Golden Syrup, Quaker Protein Peanut Butter and Quaker Protein Strawberries & Cream.
