Kerry Dairy Consumer Foods is expanding its Pure Dairy Free range from spreads into other plant-based dairy alternatives, with the introduction of a new range of plant-based cheese products.
The new range is available in three formats: Grated (RRP £2 / 160g), Block (RRP £2.30/ 200g) and Slices (RRP £2 / 160g (8 slices)). Pure Plant Based Grated launches in Sainsbury’s this month, with other major retailers to follow later in the year.
Pure Dairy Free was one of the pioneers in the free from category, arriving in the market in 1994. The new range of plant-based cheese products has been developed to adapt to consumers evolving needs and is inspired by the versatility, creaminess and meltability that consumers come to expect from dairy cheese. The range is entirely vegan, dairy-free, gluten free and lactose free.
Sarah Davies, Marketing Manager at Kerry Dairy Consumer Foods says, “Our new range is a natural addition to our existing pipeline and has been produced as a response to the increasing demand for plant-based products from consumers who are looking to reduce their dairy consumption or cut-out dairy completely.
“As one of the most well-known brands in the category with a loyal consumer base, we are excited to expand Pure’s range and offer a new affordable and healthier alternative to dairy.”
Pure Plant Based Grated Cheese is available in Sainsbury’s now, with the Block and Slices formats launching in other retailers later this year. The core Pure spreads range can be found alongside butter and spreads in the chilled aisle in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Asda, Waitrose and Ocado.
