The nation’s number one pie baker, Pukka[1], and number one Christmas hit maker, LadBaby, have teamed up to launch an incredible new, limited edition Christmas Dinner pie, helping to raise money for the Trussell Trust.

Bringing together the unbeatable flavours of Christmas, and creatively cooked up by LadBaby, in collaboration with Pukka’s development chefs, the Christmas Dinner pie features tender chicken pieces, sage and onion stuffing and chipolata sausages with smoked bacon. With lashings of rich roast chicken gravy and encased in golden puff pastry, Pukka and LadBaby’s Christmas Dinner pie is the ultimate feast this festive season.

Set to taste good and do good, 10p from the sale of each pie is being donated to the Trussell Trust, raising money to support the charity’s work in providing practical support to people facing hardship today and campaigning for a future where no one needs to use emergency food to get by.

Known for their five consecutive record-breaking charity Christmas number one singles, and love of savoury pastry, Mark and Rox Hoyle, AKA LadBaby and LadBaby Mum, have a combined social media following of more than 13.3 million. Commenting on the launch, they said: “We’ve been baking up our next Christmas hit! We’re absolutely buzzing to have joined forces with Pukka to cook up something special for the nation, supporting the incredible work of the Trussell Trust. The Christmas Dinner pie is seriously tasty and we hope it’s going to be a dinner table no 1 this Christmas.”

Isaac Fisher, MD at Pukka, said: “Our customers have been asking for a festive pie from Pukka for quite some time, and now it’s time to give the people what they want.

“From the get-go, we knew we wanted to work with LadBaby to make this happen. Mark and Roxanne are Christmas icons and big lovers of savoury pastry, so we were thrilled to have them on board. We’ve had their input every step of the way for a truly collaborative partnership, from developing and taste-testing recipes to using their design expertise for the packaging. We’ve loved bringing this pie to life together, and we can’t wait for everyone to try it.

“As well as having lots of fun with this launch, it’s important to us that we also give back – particularly at a time of year that can be difficult for many – which is why we are proud to be raising money for the Trussell Trust, supporting the fantastic work they do towards tackling  hunger and poverty in the UK”.

Sophie Carre, Director of Public Engagement at the Trussell Trust, said: “The ongoing support from Ladbaby has made a significant difference to people supported by our network. Food bank teams are working tirelessly to ensure help continues to be available, but this winter period is expected to be the toughest yet as they will distribute more than 1 million parcels.

“Ultimately, no-one in the UK should need to turn to a food bank as all of us should have enough money for the essentials. We’re extremely grateful to Ladbaby and Pukka for donating 10p from every pie which will help food banks within our network continue to provide the lifeline of emergency support for people facing hardship, while we work in the long term to build a future without the need for food banks.”

The launch is supported with a PR, social media and influencer campaign to drive visibility for the NPD, along with in-store and online shopper marketing support.
