BACKGROUND
TC has been working with Sainsbury’s as a preferred supplier for more than three years now, having initially been selected to supply cleaning services to no less than ten stores, one of which was the flagship store in Ladbroke Grove.
Due to their central location, these stores had recorded a high level of footfall, and cleaning services were naturally a priority for the Sainsbury’s business, so as to improve the overall shopping experience and perceptions held by its customers.
THE CHALLENGE
When TC took over the contract, it became obvious that the stores were not in the condition expected by Sainsbury’s; our challenge was to restore the stores to an acceptable – if not exceptional – condition.
We rose to this challenge and delivered a revised cleaning strategy for the stores, which restored them to their former glory within short and very demanding timescales.
Having proven our credentials as a viable partner to work with Sainsbury’s we were subsequently invited to take part in another significant tender in early 2008, and are glad to say that on the back of a successful introduction to working with Sainsbury’s on the first ten sites, we were awarded a further 106 sites encompassing 100 plus retail stores, recycling and distribution centres and offices across the South of England.
OUTCOME
All 106 sites were successfully rolled out on April 1st 2008 (no jokes please!), and we continue to deliver an exceptional service to Sainsbury’s to this day. We take our responsibilities seriously and work hard to deliver a consistently high level, and innovative service to Sainsbury’s.
