Lunch just got a serious upgrade, as Pringles has reimagined its iconic crisp into brand-new bite-sized Pringles Minis. For the first time ever, the iconic snack is available in mini form, in multipack bags perfect for lunchboxes, desk drawers and on-the-go snacking.
A team of food developers have spent more than four years perfecting the ultimate mini Pringles chip, testing over 50 different versions and sizes to recreate the unmistakable Pringles crunch and iconic curve in bite-sized form.
The smaller the crisp, the trickier it becomes to perfect the famous Pringles hyperbolic paraboloid curve, with the team engineering a sturdier, thicker crisp with one curve that could survive being rattled around in backpacks, tossed into packed lunches and stashed in glove compartments without losing its crunch.
Rolling out nationwide from 2nd July (RRP £2.25*), it will be landing in major supermarkets over the summer months.
The launch comes as lunchtime and snacking habits continue to evolve, with shoppers increasingly seeking portable, convenient options that fit into busy daily routines. Pringles Minis has been developed to meet demand for lunchbox-friendly formats while bringing added excitement to the crisp aisle through a trusted household brand.
Available in three non-HFSS core flavours – Original, Sour Cream & Onion and BBQ Flavour – the new Pringles Minis multipacks (6 x 20g packs) are designed for everyday snacking occasions. The smaller format provides retailers with an opportunity to target shoppers looking for portioned snacks without compromising on the bold flavour associated with the brand.
Beth Brushett, Senior Brand Manager at Pringles, said: “We’ve seen growing demand from Pringles fans wanting a version they could easily throw into lunchboxes, and enjoy on the go. Creating Pringles Minis was an exciting challenge for our team because we wanted to keep that same shape, flavour and crunch people expect from Pringles, just in a much smaller bite-sized crisp. We knew we’d cracked it once we had something that still tasted unmistakably like Pringles, but in a fun new format perfect for lunchtime snacking.”
The launch reflects continued innovation within the savoury snacks category, with brands increasingly focusing on convenience-led formats that cater to changing shopper missions.
