Premier Foods is introducing a recyclable sachet for its popular Bisto Best Gravy Granules range this month, the first recyclable format of its kind in the category. The move is set to help retailers attract new customers to the gravy sector, with the smaller pack encouraging trial and making it even more tempting for shoppers to trade up to a more premium gravy option.
Now available in stores across Beef, Chicken, Lamb, and Pork flavours, each sachet serves between 4 – 6 people. The new format follows the continued success of the premium Bisto Best range[1], and are made with real meat juices. They are easy to make without the need for a hob, simply add water to achieve the authentic Bisto rich roasted flavour.
Helen Touchais, brand director of flavours and seasonings at Premier Foods, comments, “By offering our Bisto Best range in a new way, we are going to attract additional shoppers to the category at a time when more people are cooking at home. The new format is also the perfect size for shoppers looking to try a new flavour or dish that they perhaps don’t cook as often, or if making a more special roast dinner that they’d like to try a more premium gravy with.”
The four flavours are now available in Tesco stores at an MRSP of £0.99 per sachet.
