To join the growing laundry sanitiser and cleanser market
Persil, the UK’s number one fabric cleaning brand[1], has launched a new Antibacterial Laundry Sanitiser which kills 99.9% of viruses[2] and bacteria with no pre-soak required.
Increasingly, consumers are looking to disinfect their clothing during the washing process[3]. The new Persil Antibacterial Laundry Sanitiser joins the growing laundry sanitiser and cleanser sector, now worth £24m and growing 8.11% year on year[4]. Having been developed and launched in just 100 days to meet this demand, the new sanitiser from Persil makes it quick and easy to clean and disinfect clothes in one convenient wash and can be used each time you wash.
Persil Antibacterial Laundry Sanitiser kills viruses2 and bacteria at low temperatures, such as 20 degrees, which means that it not only hygienically cleans clothes but prevents damage that washing at high temperatures to kill germs may cause. Simply add the sanitiser into the fabric conditioner drawer during the normal washing routine, along with laundry detergent.
The launch of the new Laundry Sanitiser is ultra convenient as, unlike many other laundry cleansers, it kills viruses without the need to soak. What’s more, the formulation has been dermatologically tested, with Persil recognised by the British Skin Foundation for its skin care research, ensuring it is kind next to skin but tough on viruses and bacteria.
Nadine Slyper, Home Care Brand Experience Lead, Unilever UKI, commented: “We know hygiene has become a top priority for many in recent months, with people looking to keep themselves and their families as safe as possible. We know that people are working to keep their homes hygienically clean and we want to give confidence that they can sanitise their clothes effectively too. This is especially important as people and their families venture out more.
“As the UKI’s number one fabric-cleaning brand1, we are known and trusted by households across the country[5], so we’ve worked hard to bring out a product that protects against viruses and bacteria. Quick and easy-to-use without adding extra time to your washing routine, Persil Antibacterial Laundry Sanitiser will give people peace of mind and confidence when it comes to clean clothes.”
Persil Antibacterial Laundry Sanitiser is available in Asda now with an RRP of £4.50 and will be rolling out in Ocado next month and nationwide in 2021. The bottle, made from 100% recyclable packaging, is easy to use, featuring a seamless design with a clean, crisp fragrance.
