While taste remains non-negotiable when it comes to snacking, parents are seeking better-for-you snacks[1]suitable for a range of family occasions, including lunchtime and afternoon snack time. PepsiCo is set to help families with the launch of WOW, a new three-strong, non-HFSS range from Wotsits and Snack a Jacks.
Building on the strength of the two established brands, WOW introduces three new flavours created specifically for the range: Wotsits Real Cheesy, Wotsits Lightly Salted and Snack a Jacks Apple & Cinnamon. With snacks made from natural ingredients and flavours[2] having strong appeal among parents, the range will give shoppers additional choice to cater for family snacking occasions.
Baked or popped, never fried and with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, WOW is made with real ingredients including cheese and apple. Both Wotsits Real Cheesy and Wotsits Lightly Salted are made from chickpea flour and provide a source of fibre, while Snack a Jacks Apple & Cinnamon is made from corn.
The WOW proposition has been shaped using strong consumer insights and category expertise to meet the evolving needs of families. This has helped create the right activation plan for launch in Tesco, ensuring WOW can support category growth through meeting families’ needs across more snacking occasions.
Lauren Jones, Marketing Director for Better-for-You at PepsiCo, comments: “WOW is all about offering fun snack choices for families. By bringing Wotsits and Snack a Jacks into this new range, we’re giving families more choice across everyday snacking occasions, while creating a new opportunity for retailers within better-for-you snacking.”
WOW’s Wotsits Real Cheesy, Wotsits Lightly Salted and Snack a Jacks Apple & Cinnamon will launch exclusively in selected Tesco stores from Wednesday 9th September, before a wider rollout from March 2027. Each of the multipacks containing 6 packs will have an RRP of £2.30.
The launch will be supported by retail media and a wider launch plan to drive shopper awareness and visibility.
