Panadol is building upon its legacy in offering consumers effective pain relief by launching a new sub-brand, Panmigrol. This sub-brand includes Panmigrol Migraine and Headache Relief 250 mg /250 mg /65 mg film coated tablets (acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol, caffeine) in grocery and Panmigrol Migraine Pain Relief 250 mg /250 mg /65 mg film coated tablets (acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol, caffeine) in pharmacies. The tablets are designed to provide faster and more effective migraine relief than standard ibuprofen tablets and can start to relieve migraine pain in 30 minutes.

With around 10 million people in the UK[1] suffering from migraines, Panadol recognised the impact this condition can have on people’s lives and so have launched Panmigrol to provide powerful migraine relief. Panmigrol is more effective than 50 mg sumatriptan (for migraine relief) and helps control migraine symptoms with its triple-action formulation. This formulation includes a pain reliever plus a booster, and works by blocking pain signals, elevating the pain threshold, using caffeine to enhance the pain relief effect.

Dr Kate Fabrikant, Medical Lead Northern Europe at Haleon “It is recognised that it is best to take acute medicines as soon as a migraine attack starts[2]. The launch of Panmigrol offers patients an option to reduce symptoms as soon as possible.

“As pain relief experts we have acknowledged this recommendation and created a medication that has faster and more effective migraine relief than standard ibuprofen tablets. Panmigrol can start to relieve the pain of a migraine within just 30 minutes and provides up to six hours of pain relief.”

Designed for adults aged 18 and older, Panmigrol helps fight challenging migraine symptoms, including nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and functional disability. It also provides effective relief for migraine with aura.

The launch will be supported with a dedicated media campaign targeting migraine sufferers running from April, focusing on digital activation, in-store execution and expert engagement to drive awareness.

Each tablet is film-coated and is available in packs of 10 (General Sales Line) and 20s (Pharmacy Only) at a MRSP of £3.75 (10s) £6.50 (20s)**.
