One Stop launched its?scholarship programme in 2020, with?the programme opening today to entrants for 2023. To apply, candidates must be 18-24 and?educated through a state school. Successful candidates?will?be awarded a £15,000 bursary, a business mentor and a paid summer internship to support their three-year graduate course?at a UK university.?The programme will support courses which are focused around four key subject areas: Online, Technology, Community and Sustainability.?
This year’s application process, which closes on the 30th of April, involves video-call interview with those who make it to the final stage of the selection process invited to visit the One Stop head office in Walsall. This experience day gives candidates the opportunity to take part in an interview with One Stop colleagues from each of the relevant departments that correlate with the subject areas offered in the scholarship.

In addition, those of the scholarship programme are able to take part in ongoing internship opportunities at One Stop which fit around their studies.
Alycia Bramall, a successful candidate of the One Stop scholarship programme, who is now studying at the University of Central Lancashire, commented: “I am so incredibly thankful for this experience that the One Stop team has given me, and I am really excited to continue working with them throughout my journey at One Stop.”
One Stop is working in partnership with the charity Groundworks on this initiative and visit colleges across the Birmingham area to help raise awareness of the programme and answer any questions for potential applicants.
