For the second year in a row, One Stop is partnering with Swizzels to raise money for the convenience retailer’s charity partner Alzheimer’s Society.
With all proceeds going to the UK’s leading dementia charity, customers can get their hands on one of many fun and colourful Swizzels pens for £1.50 each and Swizzels foldable shopping bags for £2 each
Sales from Swizzels merchandise in June will be donated to the charity’s Forget Me Not Appeal, which funds life-changing support and groundbreaking dementia research.
Customers can also grab a Forget Me Not Appeal badge by making a donation in-store.
Jack Taylor, Community and Partnerships Manager at One Stop explains the importance of fundraising for the charity: “This is our sixth year partnering with the incredible Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that our colleagues and customers have close to their hearts. We see so much passion come from our store colleagues to fundraise but partnering with Swizzels has allowed us to do so much more.”
And for the first time ever, customers can purchase Swizzels merchandise through online delivery apps such as Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats – so customers can now contribute to an incredible cause and get it straight to their door!
“Creating products that trigger so many memories for people has so much synergy to why we support this cause. The products have been hugely popular already, so make sure you grab yours while you can.” Jack continued.
Sarah-Louise Heslop, Head of Marketing at Swizzles, commented: “We are delighted to support One Stop in their inspiring fundraising efforts for the Alzheimer’s Society. Purchasing our Swizzels pens and foldable bags is a great way for customers to get involved and help raise vital funds for the incredible work carried out by the charity.”
Corinne Mills, interim CEO at Alzheimer’s Society, said: “We’re incredibly grateful for One Stop’s ongoing support to raise awareness of dementia, the UK’s biggest killer, and fundraising for the charity. In six years, One Stop has raised more than £650,000 for Alzheimer’s Society and its pledge to donate all proceeds from Swizzels merchandise sales in June to our Forget Me Not Appeal will help us end the devastation caused by dementia.”
