The One brand is a philanthropic business that uses its profit to effect positive change in less fortunate parts of the world. It all began with a photograph in the Guardian newspaper back in December 2003. Duncan Goose, founder of One, decided to put the skills he’d learnt in his marketing and advertising career to better use – launching the ethical bottled water brand, One Water. To date One has raised over £14.5 million, transforming the lives of over 3.1 million people. However there are still 663 million people in the world without access to safe drinking water. The One team now plan to raise £20 million by 2020 and have refreshed their Flavoured Water range and launched a new range of Juiced Water to help drive this.

Introducing NEW One Strawberry Flavoured Water

The popular sugar free One Flavoured Water is currently available in three delicious flavours – Apple & Raspberry, Lemon & Lime and Orange & Mandarin – in 500ml PET bottles. Now, in recognition of the flavour’s popularity with consumers, One are introducing new Strawberry flavour. The range is currently on sale in Holland & Barrett, selected WHSmith stores and independent cafés & deli’s nationwide; serviced by a network of wholesalers to enable other retailers to stock them too.

Duncan Goose, Founder of One, commented: “We’re very proud of our Flavoured water range. In independent taste tests* 64% of respondents preferred One Flavoured Water to the market leading brand. Even more positive was that 74% of the respondents stated they were more likely to buy a brand with an ethical message – particularly when told that one of the brands they had tasted donated profits to fund water projects. According to Zenith International, the flavoured water category has performed strongly with growth of +5.7% in 2015 (Source: Zenith International Ltd 2016). With over one third of consumers avoiding sugar / sugary foods & drinks (IGD 2015), the opportunity is strong for lower sugar offerings across all consumer shopping channels.

NEW One Juiced Water

The new refreshing range of One Juiced Water contains 50% fruit juice, 50% British spring water and a dash of natural flavouring, further helping consumers control their sugar intake – a key concern for over 64% of those asked**. True to One’s ethos of ‘socially conscious healthy hydration’ One Juiced Water offers a healthier alternative to the leading juiced water brands; with up to 30% less sugar, no preservatives, sweeteners or added sugar. The range of three – Raspberry & Apple, Orange & Mango and Cloudy Apple in 400ml PET bottles are already on sale through World Duty Free, Thomas Cook Airlines, bb’s Coffee & Muffins and selected wholesalers.
Duncan Goose commented: “There’s been a lot of media focus on reducing sugar consumption and consumers are looking for drinks without added sugar. We’re proud to launch a range of drinks that not only offers a healthier proposition to consumers, but has charitable benefits too”.

Consumers know they should be drinking more water everyday; however 52% of those in the UK agree that it’s hard to achieve (Source: Zenith UK Bottled Water Conference 2016). Introducing this new range adds to consumers’ choice and makes this challenge easier to achieve.

The full One grocery range also includes still and sparkling spring water in 500ml, 750ml and 1.5l PET, plus a glass range. All One products are presented in either 25% recycled PET or 35% recycled glass bottles (both formats are fully recyclable) and One is a Carbon Neutral Company, UK Social Enterprise and a founding B Corporation in the UK.

Duncan Goose adds, “Over 2 million people die prematurely from water-borne diseases every year and sadly, it is children under five years old who are most affected.
