With the demand for healthier meat products continuing to rise, Irish producer, Oakpark Foods, has secured a new listing with Morrisons for its Naturally Smoked Turkey Breast Rashers.
The listing will see the product available in 200 Morrisons stores nationwide, building momentum from successful listings in both Waitrose and Sainsbury’s earlier this year.
The premium rashers, which are low in fat and high in protein, are made using responsibly sourced turkey breast, which is then smoked over smouldering beechwood chips to provide a unique earthy flavour.
This latest growth within the UK market follows a recent £3m investment in a new Turkey Bacon production facility in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
The packaging for its Naturally Smoked Turkey Breast Rashers is 90% recyclable. Oakpark’s process to find sustainable packaging was structured through Ireland’s world leading sustainability programme, Origin Green.
