The Australian Naturally Sugar Free drinks brand secures distribution across Booths’ full estate of 28 stores

Leading Naturally Sugar Free brand, Nexba, has today announced further UK growth with it’s range of healthy beverages, including sparkling water, kefir and kombucha. Nexba will now be sold in all 28 Booths Supermarket stores in the North of England.

Nexba’s globally patented “Good Sweet” natural sweetener blend continues to bring home the goods for the startup success story from Australia. Six years in the making, the sweetener blend is a first of it’s kind with no sugar and nothing artificial, yet a taste proven to emulate that of sugar on the tongue.

David Wallwork, Nexba General Manager UK & EU, commented: “It’s a really exciting time for Nexba and we’re thrilled to now see our Naturally Sugar Free products on the shelves at Booths. Nexba represents a genuine alternative for customers who want to avoid sugar & artificial sweeteners but who never want to compromise on taste. Something we know Booths shoppers will enjoy!”
It’s been a rapid 18 months of growth for Nexba who first entered the UK market nationwide in 2018 with their 1L Naturally Sugar Free Sparkling Waters stocked across 550 Sainsbury’s stores. All-natural, the drinks performed well, carving out a niche in the traditionally sugar-sweetened soft drinks and waters aisles.
Within months, the Sainsburys range quickly expanded to include Nexba’s functional gut health beverages including kombucha and kefir, which had gained a cult-like following in the brand’s native Australia. This market promises huge growth globally and in the UK, where kombucha consumption alone is estimated to reach 27,803.9 kilo litres by 2025.
Most recently Nexba launched a partnership with major travel retailer WHSmith to launch their range of canned Naturally Sugar Free sparkling waters across 130 stores.
This latest partnership with Booths represents another step forward for Nexba’s Naturally Sugar Free mission, as it continues to lead the charge in shaking up traditionally sugar and artificially sweetened categories. Further product launches are expected soon.
In 2019, Nexba removed over 1000 tonnes of sugar from Australian diets and the team are looking to build on this success in the UK – helping Britons to be healthier and happier. For more information, visit www.nexba.co.uk/
