Capturing the essence of its quality and taste, family cider maker Thatchers has invested further in its single variety Katy cider with a new premium label design.

Katy, made from the finest English apples, is a 7.4% light, medium dry cider. Fragrant and softly sparkling, Katy has the distinctive character that comes from Thatchers expertise in crafting single variety ciders.

Katy’s new oval label, which highlights the style of cider, abv and tasting notes, creates a family identity with Thatchers other premium heritage ciders, Thatchers 2011 Vintage and Katy Rosé.

“Katy is very close to our hearts and as with all our ciders we have taken a lot of care over the new label,” says managing director of Thatchers Cider, Martin Thatcher. “Katy was the first single variety cider we produced here at Myrtle Farm, and is a strong part of our heritage. It started as a niche cider we created for customers in our own cider shop and is now one of the most popular premium bottled ciders in the UK.

“We have been continually striving for exceptional quality and taste with Katy. With the new design, we hope to entice new drinkers to the brand while maintaining the loyalty of our existing customers.

“We believe the packaging will appeal to customers who really know their cider, and appreciate authentic single varieties and special blends.”

With a tradition of cider making going back over 100 years, Thatchers Cider has been perfecting its orchards, its craft and its cider over four generations. “The people who care about cider”, the family firm has over 360 acres of orchard in Somerset, crafting bottled and draught ciders including Thatchers Gold, 2011 Vintage, Green Goblin and Katy Rosé.
