salvation-army-somFresh soup market leader New Covent Garden Food Co. is focusing on festive fund-raising for The Salvation Army in December.

Proceeds from the sale of New Covent Garden’s December Soup of the Month – Smoked Bacon, Vintage Cheddar & Winter Greens – will be donated to the charity and in particular to the work of its Older People’s Services.

New Covent Garden is expecting to make a donation of around £14,000.

Nick Munby, New Covent Garden Food Co. Senior Brand Manager, says the December soup of the month will strike a seasonal chord with consumers looking to support a very worthwhile cause at Christmas.

“The Salvation Army provides invaluable support to older people and this is particularly important throughout the festive season, so we’re really pleased to be involving our consumers in raising funds which will be used to provide the elderly with freshly-prepared, nutritious meals.”

The December soup includes a hearty winter combination of smoked bacon, vintage cheddar cheese, Maris Piper Potatoes and sliced winter greens.

It will feature an rrp of £1.99 in outers of 6.
