National Flexible have been awarded a contract to supply high-speed over-wrap film for packing CD’s and DVD’s by the industry’s leading manufacturer. The work will see National Flexible supplying BOPP film reels to a number of factory sites spread across the UK and Europe.
The film packaging specialists, well known for cornering the BOPP film market, are going from strength to strength after establishing themselves as the supplier of choice for users of bulk quantities of plain, unprinted film. Their factory was purpose built to be compliant with the latest BRC and ISO global standards for food grade flexible packaging materials and is arguably the UK’s largest BOPP film conversion site.
As part of their continuous investment programme, National Flexible has continued to strengthen their output capacity by adding extra state-of-the-art slitting/rewinding machinery to an existing bank of converting machinery.
The latest machines feature laser operated core setting and differential rewind shafts, giving tangible benefits to customers. With shorter changeover times and higher cycle speeds they allow for even faster turnaround of customer orders.
This work is the latest in a succession as National Flexible continue to grow their share of the BOPP film market.
