If there’s a broken aisle within food & drink it has to be baby & toddler food. A year on from a Panorama dressing down, it remains in a giddy haze following the BBC’s flagship investigative programme raising concerns about the heavy-handed and exaggerated nutritional claims (sugar content, presence of beneficial vitamins and nutrients…) surrounding its puree pouches.
NEW arrival, More Toddler Foods is an intriguing ‘freeze-dried’ alternative within a creatively tired baby food category. It’s currently enjoying early traction through listings with Ocado and independent retailers, such as Nourished Communities and a growing following of parents wanting better. The range features 3 healthy and convenient meals that champion natural ingredients, great flavours and real textures. They simply need water added to help parents with feeding either at home or on the go.
Currently Available in:
5 Veg Macaroni, Super Green Pasta Stars AND Sweet Potato & Aubergine Dhal
More Toddler Foods is the ambitious creation of ex-army officer (Pathfinders), passionate foodie and proud parent of 2 young boys, Edward van der Lande. He saw an untapped opportunity to bring elite forces learning (nutrient-dense freeze-dried food pouches) into the baby food domain, creating meticulously crafted recipes that reflect the benefits of home-cooked food.
Backed by a Surrey business development grant and Innovate UK, these versatile toddler meals (10 months to 4 years) were created for time-poor parents who wanted to feed their little ones, high quality meals on-the-go or at home.
According to Ed “Whilst parents try to feed their little ones home cooked food, sometimes it’s not possible and they want a trusted product that’s both convenient and healthy for their kids. More Toddler Meals exists to fill this gap and we’re on a mission to help parents to feel proud of the meals they serve their kids, no matter the location.”
For retailers, they provide a premium tier product that provides a compelling alternative to the processed pouches on supermarket shelves that recognises the convenience sought by parents.
Available in Ocado, Amazon UK, the website shop and a growing nationwide network of independent wholesalers & retailers (e.g. Nourished Communities).
