Millbrook Dairy Company, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded AA accreditation in a recent BRCGS audit. BRCGS, who is globally recognised across both food and non-food categories, operates the most rigorous third party certification scheme of its type.
The Global Standard for Food Safety, which is developed by food industry experts from retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations to ensure it is rigorous and detailed, provides a framework to manage product safety, integrity, legality and quality, and the operational controls for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing and packing industry.
Teresa Pollard, Technical and Process Manager at Devon based, Millbrook Dairy, who has worked closely with BRCGS throughout the audit process, said, “This is an incredible achievement for us and a fantastic result for the whole team – a real testament to their hard work and dedication”.
Teresa continued, “In what has certainly been a challenging year for many, when the entire food industry has worked incredibly hard to keep our nation fed, we are proud that we have played our small part in that whilst also maintaining only the highest of standards”.
This is the second year running Millbrook Dairy Company has been awarded the prestigious accreditation. The rigorous process provides objective scrutiny of Millbrook Dairy Company’s processes and standards, ensuring the company is operating to the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) global standard.
