mhl support’s new paygo service offers small businesses a helping hand with employment law on a Pay As You Go basis, with no big up-front contractual commitment. It’s an initiative that mhl’s Managing Director, Michael Slade, believes “will enable those smaller companies to deal with HR issues efficiently and effectively, with access to the mhl team of qualified HR advisors as and when they are needed.”
Many SMEs are still carefully monitoring their outgoings, so entering into long-term contracts for support services when they’re uncertain of future needs is understandably hard to justify to even the most relaxed of purse string holders.
Rather than a long-term contract, the package consists of a one off payment of £199, providing access to qualified HR specialists on a dedicated telephone line, (charged at £1.50 a minute). Each client receives a practical HR starter pack, together with an online catalogue of HR documents, all available for purchase as and when they are needed.
‘Because clients only pay for what they use, says Mr. Slade, ‘it’s easier for them to keep their HR costs to the bare minimum. pay go gives small businesses the full power of our expertise but without any contractual commitment.’
‘It really is an excellent option for start up companies and those with five or fewer employees’, Mr. Slade added. ‘The way pay go has been designed means it’s simple to use and provides businesses with the peace of mind that they can turn to mhl for help with any issues they need to address.’ pay go was launched in January 2010.
