Since March 2020 McCain Foods has donated the equivalent of 1 million meals to leading food charity FareShare which supports vulnerable people facing food insecurity throughout the UK.
During this time, McCain Foods have supported over 3000 charities and community groups within the FareShare network who have benefitted from receiving McCain Foods surplus. This includes raw potatoes, as well as a range of frozen potato products from their portfolio including oven chips and jacket potatoes. McCain Foods have been supporting FareShare with food supplies since 2013, developing thriving communities is a key part of the company’s global sustainability commitments.
By providing charities and community groups with these delicious frozen surplus products, it ensures the organisations have food on hand to create nutritious meals for their beneficiaries. This vital support helps FareShare to continue to meet increased demand for food.
