L’OR is set to invigorate the coffee category with the launch of its new L’OR Coconut Iced Capsules, retailing at £4.69 and in stores from 4th May. The premium capsule developed specifically for iced coffee occasions at home, will offer retailers a strong opportunity to attract younger consumers seeking convenient, coffee shop-style iced experiences in their own home. Featuring a roast and grind that has been perfectly tailored to ensure intensity, aroma and flavour.
Tapping into the rising popularity of flavoured and iced coffee, L’OR Coconut Iced Capsules respond to the growing coconut flavour trend, which is now entering the top five[1]. This demonstrates the rising demand for flavoured, indulgent coffee as a growing trend, particularly among younger drinkers, with 62% of 16–34-year-olds interested in more indulgent coffee options[2]. At the same time, iced coffee is rapidly gaining momentum in the UK, driven by café culture and social media, as consumers look to recreate barista-style cold coffee at home.
With the in-home capsule coffee segment continuing to grow and more consumers looking to replicate coffee shop iced drinks at home, L’OR Coconut Iced Capsules create additional occasions beyond the traditional morning hot coffee. Iced coffees are particularly popular in the afternoon, with 88% of iced coffee drinkers tending to consume later in the day[3].
By bringing this on-trend flavour into the grocery aisle with natural flavouring incorporated into a convenient capsule format, L’OR is helping retailers appeal to flavour-seeking younger shoppers, recruit new users into the capsule category and increase basket spend.

In line with JDE Peet’s sustainability commitments, L’OR aluminium capsules are designed to be fully recyclable via the Podback scheme, enabling used capsules to be collected, processed and repurposed. The outer packaging is made from cardboard and is widely recyclable, and recycled materials are incorporated where possible, supporting the company’s broader packaging objectives. L’OR is also going big on a summer activation this year. Supported with a £1M media campaign across OLV, OOH, Social, Audio channels to kick start a summer of iced coffee with L’OR. L’OR will be activating across different channels (June – July), including in-store where either L’OR core range will be supported or L’OR Coconut Iced**
L’OR Coconut Iced Capsules (10 capsules, each 5.2g) will be available exclusively in Asda from 4th May at a price of £4.69* and Waitrose from 31st May.
